DESCRIPTION:Through Margo Sugarman’s Lens\nPhotography Exhibition \nThe iconic Kodak Instamatic was the first camera I picked up in the 1970s. I was around 8 years old and even back then I loved the excitement of seeing the developed photos. That feeling has never left me. At around that time\, my older brothers were experimenting with their Asahi Pentax and set up a dark room in the basement of our house. I can still smell the chemicals and remember my delight at seeing the ghostly images emerging and morphing into black and white shots. \nThere has virtually never been a time when I haven’t had a camera with me. I’ve always been happier behind the camera than in front of it. Travel\, friends\, family\, pets\, and later\, my children. When my son became a baseball player and my daughter a dancer\, it was natural for me to become the “photographer mom”. That’s when my love for action photography developed\, and I started taking it more seriously. \nToday\, dance photography is my main focus – both live action and in a studio. I relish the challenge of capturing the apex of a dance move during a show when you only have one chance at it\, of finding the right balance between the changing lighting and letting in enough light to make the optimal picture and stop the action at its peak. \nTravel photography\, with an emphasis on the Tuscan countryside and villages\, isn’t far behind. The beautiful stone alleyways\, the rolling hills\, the iconic Cypress trees\, are great subjects. And they stand perfectly still\, so taking that picture is a far less heart stopping endeavor. \nWith the Canon EOS R6 Mark II digital mirrorless camera I have today\, I’ve come a long way since my Kodak. DESCRIPTION:Through Margo Sugarman’s Lens\nPhotography Exhibition \nThe iconic Kodak Instamatic was the first camera I picked up in the 1970s. I was around 8 years old and even back then I loved the excitement of seeing the developed photos. That feeling has never left me. At around that time\, my older brothers were experimenting with their Asahi Pentax and set up a dark room in the basement of our house. I can still smell the chemicals and remember my delight at seeing the ghostly images emerging and morphing into black and white shots. \nThere has virtually never been a time when I haven’t had a camera with me. I’ve always been happier behind the camera than in front of it. Travel\, friends\, family\, pets\, and later\, my children. When my son became a baseball player and my daughter a dancer\, it was natural for me to become the “photographer mom”. That’s when my love for action photography developed\, and I started taking it more seriously. \nToday\, dance photography is my main focus – both live action and in a studio. I relish the challenge of capturing the apex of a dance move during a show when you only have one chance at it\, of finding the right balance between the changing lighting and letting in enough light to make the optimal picture and stop the action at its peak. \nTravel photography\, with an emphasis on the Tuscan countryside and villages\, isn’t far behind. The beautiful stone alleyways\, the rolling hills\, the iconic Cypress trees\, are great subjects. And they stand perfectly still\, so taking that picture is a far less heart stopping endeavor. \nWith the Canon EOS R6 Mark II digital mirrorless camera I have today\, I’ve come a long way since my Kodak. Situated in the remote reaches of the solar system\, far from the Sun\, Saturn has been a planet of mystery\, drawing the attention of astronomers ever since Galileo discovered the rings with his telescope. \nNASA’s Cassini spacecraft orbited Saturn for over a decade\, exploring the planet and its moons and making truly astounding discoveries that changed the way we think of planets and objects that orbit them. Cassini carried the Huygens probe that landed on Saturn’s moon Titan\, the first ever landing on any body in the outer solar system. \nCome join us for a voyage of discovery of how this marvelous feat was accomplished and what Cassini told us about Saturn\, its moons and its phenomenal ring system. \nArmed with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT\, Harley started working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in 1978. DESCRIPTION:English Tutors Closing Gathering \n11:00 Monday\, 29 June  \nDespite some understandable glitches this year the AACI volunteer English tutoring project has had another successful school year due primarily to great efforts from the organizers Renee Rosenberg and Judy Shafarman. \nAbout 3 dozen volunteers assisted in over a dozen schools throughout Netanya.  Volunteers were also invited to several support sessions both at Netanya AACI and the city pedagogical center.  Several schools participated for the first time this year. \nCome join the program at next year’s Introductory meeting on September 15. \nYou can contact Renee Rosenberg or Judy Shafarman to learn more about the program at any time.  Send a note to info@netanyaaaci.org.il and they will get back to you. \nAll of this year’s volunteers are invited to our closing gathering. \n  \n

You will come out with a smile! \nThe design of the class introduces easy-to-follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance\, range of motion and coordination. \nCome ready to sweat and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. The class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular\, muscular conditioning\, flexibility and balance! \nShlomit Stroh\, dancer\, actor and singer\, taught Zumba Gold and song and dance to Latin music all over South America. She spreads the joy at Netanya AACI. \n Members NIS 35 per session\, payable at the lesson \nNon-members NIS 70 per session\, payable at the lesson
