DESCRIPTION:Netanya – Questions and Answers:   \nA conversation with City Council Member Avi Slama \n19:30 Sunday 14 September \n Avi Slama\, Netanya City Council Member\, and Chairman of the New Way Faction\, will discuss the City of Netanya\, explain what different departments are doing for you and will take questions from the audience. \nAvi was  born and raised in Netanya\, is 42 years old\, and is the son of olim parents from France. He has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Economics. He served in a series of management positions at Bank of Jerusalem and currently manages the Israeli office of Swiss Bank Hyposwiss. \nAvi was elected to Netanya City Council in 2018 and served in a number of key positions on a volunteer basis: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the economic company of the city responsible for urban development; Chairman of the Coalition; supervises the Municipal Finance Manager\, supervises the Integration Department and is a Board member of the non-formal education association. He ran for Mayor in the 2024 elections and received about 40% of the voters’ votes against Ms. Fierberg’s 43%.
