Netanya – Questions and Answers: A Conversation with City Council Member Avi Slama

Avi Slama, Netanya City Council Member, and Chairman of the New Way Faction, will discuss the City of Netanya, explain what different departments are doing for you and will take questions from the audience.
Bio:
• Born and raised in Netanya, 42 years old.
• Son of olim parents from France.
• Has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Economics.
• Served in a series of management positions at Bank of Jerusalem; Currently manages Israeli office of Swiss bank Hyposwiss.
• Elected to Netanya City Council in 2018 and served in a number of key positions on a volunteer basis: Chairman of the Board of Directors of the economic company of the city responsible for urban development; Chairman of the Coalition; Supervises the Municipal Finance Manager; Supervises the Integration Department; Board member of the non-formal education association.
Avi ran for Mayor in the 2024 elections and received about 40% of the voters’ votes against Ms. Fierberg’s 43%. He was elected to 17th City Council of Netanya and serves as the Chairman of the opposition with the largest party within the City Council.
