SUMMARY:Bridge for Beginners and Not Beginners - First Lesson Free!
DESCRIPTION:Netanya AACI is pleased to offer Bridge Lessons \nBeginners and Not Beginners: 11:00-13:00 Tuesdays starting 6 October \nFirst lesson at no charge – come and see if you like it before signing up! \nIntermediate: 09:00-10:30 Mondays. Starting date to be announced. \nWe want to gauge interest in the type of lessons. \nBridge for Beginners will be two hours in length and include theory and play from the first lesson. There will be handouts and homework as part of the course and after an initial introductory session participants will sign up for blocks of eight weekly lessons. \nBridge for Not Beginners – Has it been a while since you’ve played bridge? Are you a bit rusty on the conventions? Want to learn the Israeli conventions? You may want to skip the early lessons and join when appropriate. Come to the introductory session for free and Gillian will help you figure out when to start. We intend (although we don’t guarantee) that Bridge will continue beyond the first group of lessons so your purchase of beginner blocks of 8 lessons will be used as the lessons continue. Unlike some of our other chugim\, in Bridge we ask for payment upfront for blocks of 8 to demonstrate commitment after your first free trial lesson. \nBridge To Improve – Intermediate will be standalone sessions including a short theory explanation of a topic and then guided play focused on the topic. \nA minimum number of players is required\, so please call the box office 09-8330950 or send a note to info@netanyaaaci.org.il regarding your interest. \nInstructor: Gillian Ben Natan (Braunold) is a retired physician with certified bridge teaching experience in Israel. She teaches in both English and Hebrew. Gillian is experienced at teaching beginners and intermediates and in running tournaments. Gillian teaches currently at a Moadon in Yokneam and at a residential home in Bayit Bkfar. In particular\, she helps players who learned British acol to switch to the Israeli system of bidding based on SAYC – the American system. \nBeginners cost:  \nMembers: NIS 60 per session\, in blocks of eight sessions (NIS 480 for eight sessions). \nNonmembers: NIS 120 per session\, in blocks of eight sessions (NIS 960 for eight sessions) \nIntermediate cost:  \nMembers: NIS 60 per session. \nNonmembers: NIS 120 per session. \nFor more information call the box office 09-8330950. \nPurchase tickets through the box office 09-8330950. \n
