Four free Zoom workshops with expert Valérie Halfon to help you manage your budget and save money in Israel.

Valérie Halfon is a budget management consultant, with a “personal development” approach. For several years, she has supported people wishing to optimize their personal finances, but also wishing to see their life evolve. Holder of a master’s degree in management from Paris-Dauphine University, she lectures extensively in Israel, France and abroad. She released “Slow shopping therapy” in 2017. Originally from Paris, she has lived in Jerusalem for over 20 years.

 Budgeting Tips

Sunday 2 May

Many people are feeling the need to budget these days. In our first session, we will learn how to budget in a time of change (Aliyah, Corona), reduce fixed expenses, and deal with variable expenses. What’s the normal amount to be paying for utilities? What you should be paying for food per month per person and how to plan for the month ahead?

 Bills

Sunday 9 May

During this session, we will cover: How to read and understand your utility bills (including electricity, water, gas, internet, phone…).

Learn the details to look out for on your bills and how to reduce your consumption.

Banking and Insurance

Sunday 23 May

Learning how the banking system works (this will cover: bank accounts, credit cards, banking fees, electric transfers and digital wallet). Understanding home insurance, health and car insurance policies.

 Food

Sunday 30 May

At our last session, Valérie will cover how to reduce your food bills, where and how often to shop, how to spot real promotions and how to compare prices.

Participants must have a Teudat Zehut, have been in Israel for less than 10 years and live in Netanya. (There a few places for member who do not meet the above criteria)
