All attendees must have a Green Pass, or evidence of a negative COVID test within the prior 72 hours.
Calling all folk musicians and fans – Join us for our monthly musical gathering.
We got off to a great start in August.
A very special thanks to Harley Zipori for initiating this program and all his behind-the-scenes work.
For our October program our line-up includes:
- Gidi Aharonovich, a Netanya based musician and music teacher. Gidi plays flute, has an MA in Music and teaches music in schools in the Sharon Region. He is a known figure in the Israeli Anglo music community, joining in with his flute at performances at folk clubs and festivals around the country. He’s also blind and a wonderful person. Gidi will be joined by Uri Parnes and they will play original material. It is in Hebrew but, hey, music is music. Gidi and Uri have been performing their new show “How a Blind Person Drives” and playing music together despite the difficulties of Corona limitations. Uri works in “High Tech” and is also currently working on his second album. Uri has been performing his own songs all over Israel for a number of years and can be seen on his YouTube Channel.
The duo will be performing songs written by Uri and instrumental versions of classic Israeli songs.
- The Chicks from Hell: Sharon Neeman, singer-songwriter and translator extraordinaire. Her way with words brings to the stage authentic life experiences, revealing their humorous and ironic sides! Judy Cohen, singer-songwriter and English teacher, shares with us her observations on the Scene, with its pomp and circumstance, and adds a few navigation tips. Sharon and Judy have been performing together as Chicks From Hell since 2006, sharing with the audience, through originals and covers, their own ironic, feminist take on things.
