An ecological trail in the vicinity of Nahal Yarkon opens up a window to a green lung in the heart of the center of the country.
We will walk along Nahal Hadar and reach a special ecological park.
We will walk up the path to the top of the mount from which a spectacular 360-degree view opens up towards Gush Dan.
Walk duration: 3 hours
Walk distance: 4 km
Terrain: A flat walk except for the ascent to the Garbage Mountain for a lookout
Meet: 9.00am Hod HaSharon Ecological Park car park
Finish: Approximately 12 noon
Guide: Ben Zaltzman
Ben is an official Israel tour and hiking guide. Growing up in the Carmel Mountain region, he fell in love with nature at a young age. Since then, he has discovered secret hiking trails and magical corners around the country. Now, he guides others through his experiences.
Ben is an expert at long distance hikes. He hiked for six months along the Pacific Crest Trail and has led many multi-day hiking trips around Israel, including Birthright tours, the Golan Trail and the Israel Trail. He has studied tour guiding, bird watching, educational tours, storytelling, survival skills, group dynamics and natural healing
Definitions:
Walks: Easy terrain, shorter distance.
Hikes: Harder uneven terrain, more challenging, longer distance.
Please only sign up to an activity that is suitable to your personal level of fitness and ability.
All participants in Netanya AACI walks and hikes must be in good health and able to walk or hike according to the description.
Netanya AACI reserves the right to ask anyone who is not suitably equipped or prepared that they not participate in the hike or walk.
Equipment: Good walking boots or shoes, walking poles if appropriate. Comfortable day backpack to carry food and snacks, water, hat and sunscreen.
Minimum number of participants required. Itinerary is subject to change without notice.
All participants must complete a health declaration form.
Hikes & walks are self-drive to meeting point: please ask at Box Office for carpooling options.

Prices include NIS 20 fee for cancellations prior to two working days before hike or walk.
Late cancellations may incur additional charges.
