Jason Feddy
Folk Club Feature Concert
7.30pm Monday 27 March
We welcome Jason Feddy for a Feature Folk concert. Jason will be visiting Israel to perform at Jacob’s Ladder and includes Netanya AACI in his tour.
Born and raised in Leeds, UK, Jason paid his musical dues in the ’80s in the working men’s clubs and pubs that have spawned so much British talent. His career has seen him open for Neil Young, Tears For Fears, The Cranberries, John Martyn, Christie Moore and Joe Cocker and many more, at venues such as The London Palladium, The Albert Hall and Glastonbury Festival.
With six albums of original songs in his catalogue, Jason plays constantly at home in California, back in the UK and around the world as a solo entertainer, band and song leader, and with his two incredible tribute bands, The Beatroots (Beatles – they don’t wear wigs) and Mad Dogs & The Englishman (nine piece Joe Cocker tribute).
Jason is OC Music Director for the non-profit organization “Music In Common” which brings together youth from diverse backgrounds for songwriting and performance. He has a well-regarded show and album of songs from the plays of William Shakespeare. Jason wrote the music and melodies for a dozen songs from The Bard’s plays. The recordings were created with legendary producer Ed Stasium (Ramones et al).
Jason recently wrote 14 songs for a play written by and starring comedienne Rita Rudner, which opened (with Jason as Musical Director and performer) at Laguna Playhouse in September 2018 and ran off Broadway, New York City in July and August 2019.
Jason is Cantor/Soloist (song leader) at Temple Isaiah of Newport Beach & Jewish Collaborative of OC. He leads traditional and modern melodies for Sabbath and Holidays. His “Kol Nidré” is legendary.
