Quilt Exhibition – Pnina Moskovitz & Ros Ben Ezra
Pnina Moskovitz is thrilled to have been invited, once again, to exhibit her art quilts. She learned to sew and to embroider at a very early age. Seven years ago, after her mother passed away, she started experimenting with the sewing machine that her mother had used for quilting and since then quilting has become a passion and a creative expression for her.
Ros Ben Ezra and her husband came to Israel as volunteers after the Six Day War and stayed on for two years teaching in High School. Later they made Aliyah and Ros continued teaching until retirement. She has three children and eight grandchildren all living in Israel. As a volunteer with ESRA she coordinated the “English Without Borders” program for tutors along with Netanya AACI coordinator Myriam Bar David. Ros has been a quilter for about twenty years and belongs to the Netanya Quilting Group headed by Sue Pel Or, who first introduced her to quilting. For Ros quilting is a great love, relaxation and hobby and she can easily spend three to four hours a day at her machine.
The following art works are also on display in the Berkowitz Marcus Social Hall at Netanya AACI:
Aleph Bet, quilt by Netanya AACI Thimble Time Zoom Group
America, quilt by Eileen Goldblatt
