Hear Tal Brody’s fascinating story on fulfilling his dreams: NBA draft, Maccabiah gold medal, making Aliyah, leading the Tel Aviv Basketball team to their first win at the 1977 European Basketball Championship, and more!
Tal explains what leadership means to him including taking positions that aren’t necessarily popular. Tal talks about fulfilling his dreams and his life after retiring from sports. He even shares his secrets for a healthy lifestyle.
Tal Brody made Aliya after taking part in the 7th Maccabean Games in 1965.
In 1977, as captain of the Tel Aviv Basketball team, Tal led them to their first win at the European Basketball Championship after which he said We are on the Map and we are staying on the Map, not only in Sport but in everything.
At the age of 34 he received the highest civil award, the Israel Prize, the first sportsman to ever receive such a prestigious award.
Tal was chosen to light a torch in the Independence Day celebration.
Tal is Chairman of Israeli Spirit in the Jewish Agency and since July 2010, has served as Israel’s Goodwill Ambassador.
