On this special and emotional trip, we will visit two meaningful sites.
On arrival in Jerusalem, we will begin at the Yad Vashem World Holocaust Centre. We will experience the historical narrative interwoven with the personal stories behind the testimonies, artifacts, photographs and works of art displayed in the Museum.
We will go through the timeline starting with the world before everything changed and then move on to each of the stages of segregation, entrapment, the “Final Solution”, and how life was re-built after the Holocaust.
After an emotional morning, we will travel to the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem for lunch, either bought there or brought with you.
The Western Walls Tunnels is our next destination where, after years of development work and archaeological preservation, we will be able to tour the new Great Bridge route. This route takes visitors one more level under the Old City where you will see the Great Bridge that led to the Temple during the Second Temple period.
This route will showcase different rooms and halls that served the people of that time, new and exciting findings, and a first glimpse at newly exposed courses of the Western Wall.
We will end our day with time to pray at the Western Wall before returning to Netanya.
Please note, participants are required to ascend and descend stairs on this tiyul.
