Tel Aviv Museums Outing
Tuesday 26 December
We head south to Tel Aviv to the Eretz Israel Museum, an historical and archaeological museum. We will enjoy a guided tour of “The Local Testimony and World Press Photo” exhibition – the most important and largest annual event in Israel and around the world for photo-journalism and documentary photography, is sure to be an eye-opener!
After some free time at the museum, we will travel to the ANU museum whose cultural hub is a testament to the ongoing narrative of the Jewish people—a tale of perpetual renewal. We will take a break for lunch, which can be either bought at the Kosher Aroma there or a packed lunch brought with you, before beginning our tour.
After the tour there will be free time to explore the museum which is spread over three floors and connects Jewish people to their roots and strengthens their personal and collective Jewish identity. The ANU museum conveys to the world the fascinating narrative of the Jewish people and the essence of the Jewish culture, faith, purpose, and deed while presenting the contribution of world Jewry to humanity. It is also the new home of the Codex Sassoon – one of the most important and unique manuscripts in the world!
