Have UK Demonstrations Gone Too Far? with Paul Charney
19:30 Sunday 12 November – On Zoom
17:30 UK Time
The media images coming from both the UK and Israel are alarming. In the UK, demonstrations in favor of the Palestinians have reached unimaginable numbers. Watching the daily videos of rockets raining down on Israel creates additional stress in the Jewish community. What is reality and what is fiction? What does all this mean in the long term? And what can we, as supporters of Israel do to support our homeland?
In this presentation, hosted by Netanya AACI, Paul Charney, a highly experienced advocate for Israel, will answer these and other questions, providing straightforward analysis of the current situation in both Israel and the UK.
Paul Charney was born in South Africa and moved to Israel as a teenager in 1986. He spent 4 ½ years in the IDF and received distinguished officer awards, most notably from the late PM Yitzchak Rabin. In 2002, Paul qualified as a solicitor in England.
In 2012, he was elected Chair of the Zionist Federation UK and Ireland. He writes, speaks and debates on behalf of Israel – on TV and radio, at universities, in Parliament and public committees. Paul is Chairman of Technion UK and is currently serving as a reservist in the IDF.
This is your opportunity to raise your awareness of the situation on the ground.
