What Can Yad Sarah Do For You?

Despite being the largest charity in Israel, many people are still not aware of how much the organization does for hundreds of thousands of people every year.
Its main activity is providing free short-term loans of medical equipment. Approximately a quarter of a million articles are lent out per year! These include crutches, walkers and wheelchairs, as well as breast pumps and cribs for newborns, oxygen tanks and even hospital beds.
Since Yad Sarah receives no government funds, it can bypass all the bureaucracy which makes obtaining needed equipment through the Ministry of Health or Bituach Leumi, such a long, drawn-out process. Do you suddenly need an oxygen supply on a Friday for a family member being sent home from hospital a few hours before Shabbat? Come to Yad Sarah.
The Netanya branch also contains a shop that sells medical equipment at extremely low prices, which can be a more suitable alternative for some families.
This morning’s talk will focus on how everyone, regardless of financial need or status (citizen, resident, visitor, foreign worker), can borrow any of this equipment for a day, a month, a year.
