Gavriella Zahtz – Dancing Through the Fire: Finding Joy and Purpose Along the Way: How We Heal Ourselves and Our Nation
19:30 Tuesday 23 December
Join Gavriella Zahtz for an unforgettable evening as she shares her journey from being left to die in a nursing home basement, unable to walk or eat, to becoming a builder of life, joy, and community in Israel. With humor, candor, and deep Jewish wisdom, Gavriella weaves her personal story of survival and aliyah together with the lessons of Torah and the resilience of Am Yisrael. Drawing from her life’s work before, and her frontline advocacy since, October 7 she offers practical tools for finding joy, meaning, and connection even in times of trauma — and a vision for how we can each take part in rebuilding a stronger, more hopeful Jewish future.
Gavriella Zahtz is a former startup founder, national healthcare expert, and internationally recognized keynote speaker whose career spans multiple ventures, awards, and media appearances including CNN, The Today Show, and the International Business Times. A survivor of late-stage cancer, domestic violence, and a decade in a wheelchair, Zahtz has spoken on stages around the world—from the Martin Luther King International Beloved Summit to Crowe Health Summit and Centro Comunitario Beth-El in Panama—sharing her experiences to inspire resilience, purpose, and joy in the face of trauma. Following the October 7, 2023 atrocities, she pivoted to serve Israel, organizing humanitarian missions, supporting farmers, and now running volunteer initiatives in Netanya for reservist families.
Through her writing for the Times of Israel, her Substack Dear Chevra, and her social media, Zahtz combines personal storytelling with actionable lessons from Torah, Jewish life, and leadership to guide audiences in healing themselves and strengthening their communities.
