Café Netanya Presents: Lightning Bluegrass Concert
19:30 Sunday 19 January
Café Netanya is a new music and entertainment venue at Netanya AACI, hosting a variety of musical artists, sing-alongs and other entertainment in a warm café environment.
Café Netanya invites you on January 19 to experience the Lightning Bluegrass duo. Assaf Rozov (founder of Daily Blues Band) and Yarin Swid (founder of Red Okra Strings Band) will bring an exciting mix of bluegrass classics, American country music and some old rock favorites.
Drawing from rich musical backgrounds that span Israel’s vibrant music scene and the deep roots of American folk traditions, these two extraordinary musicians create a compelling sound with both the authenticity of bluegrass and the innovative spirit of contemporary acoustic performance.
Assaf Rozov played with American blues singer King Ernest and at the Rochester Jazz Festival. He performed with Canadian bluesman Ted Cooper, composer Dov Hammer, Al Di Meola, Chick Corea, David Sandborn and more.
Yarin Swid, one of Israel’s fine folk and country musicians, is a virtuoso of the 5-string banjo, mandolin, fiddle and guitar. He’s performed and recorded with many known Israeli and American musicians.
