Nine Years on Paper
1 April – 1 June
Aliza Boroda is an artist and elementary art teacher originally from the Boston area, who made Aliyah with her family in 2017. With a background as a children’s book illustrator, Aliza is passionate about both creating and teaching art. Her diverse body of work spans various mediums, including digital painting, watercolour, monoprint, collage, and calligraphy.
This show represents many steps along her artistic journey. The most recent paintings and prints, starting from the tragic events of October 7, 2023, centre around her experience living through these times. Through her art, Aliza seeks to process and express these complex emotions. Her work invites viewers into a space of reflection, resilience, and creative healing. Aliza’s goal is to heal her soul through making art, and to heal the world by teaching art.
The works will be exhibited in our hall 1 April – 1 June.
