Quilters Exhibition: Story Time

The Accent Quilters Guild, based in Herzliya, is a vibrant community of talented English-speaking immigrant women from around the world and local Israeli women who all share a passion for the intricate art of hand-made quilting. With a history spanning decades, this group has become a creative cornerstone for quilters of all backgrounds, fostering connection and artistic growth through workshops, collaborative projects, and exhibitions. Over the years, the Guild has not only celebrated the skill of quilting but has also embraced the storytelling and cultural exchange embedded in this traditional craft.
Each quilt on display has been inspired by beloved children’s stories, rhymes, and books, bringing timeless tales to life through vibrant colours, textures, and intricate stitching. From classic nursery rhymes to cherished storybooks, the quilts in this exhibition promise to weave a visual narrative that celebrates childhood wonder and the art of storytelling through fabric.
This exhibition is more than just a showcase of quilts; it’s an invitation to step into a world of imagination and craftsmanship. Visitors will experience how each quilt, created with dedication and love, acts as a bridge between literature and art, celebrating not only the stories themselves but the enduring tradition of quilting as a medium of storytelling.
